Here, you will find a random of collection of blog entries. Random Rants, Geek Speak, Gearhead Jive. That sort of thing.

    Enjoy.

PostHeaderIcon Fear and Loathing of the iPhone OS4 update.

I am a dedicated Mac person. I think the combination of a safe and reliable operating system, combined with the liquid smooth interface makes a operating system that I can use and enjoy. Whereas my Windows 7 machine running on equivalent hardware is jumpy, jittery and lacks the pixel precision that the Mac OS X operating system exhibits. But this isn't the blog entry equivalent of a pissing contest.

Two years ago, when I replaced my Blackberry Curve 8310 with an Apple iPhone 3G, I thought I had possibly found Mobile Mac Nirvana. Alas, this is not at all the case. Instead I am now locked into cell phone hell. At this point my iPhone 3G is a paperweight/mp3 player/camera, and it’s not very good at any of those things.

    PostHeaderIcon Bad Drivers

Recently my friend Angie expressed her displeasure with BMW drivers. She wanted to find one of the stickers that depicts the cartoon character Calvin urinating on a BMW logo. To her credit she didn't accuse all BMW drivers as being "turdfaces" and she apologized before hand to any of her friends that happen to own a BMW.

PostHeaderIcon What happened to Buy American?

Remember when everyone climbed aboard the "Buy American" bandwagon? Walmart was dripping with American Flags. Ford cars and trucks were sporting flag covered bumper stickers with patriotic words "Buy American" on them. But not any more.

    So what happened?

    PostHeaderIcon Living in Corbin Kentucky

Being from a small town in Eastern Kentucky, I originally thought I would enjoy life in Corbin Kentucky. After more than 5 years in this town, I have to admit that I was mistaken. I want to point out that I'm not angry, and I'm not looking to move out of Corbin, but I can't help but point out a few things that have me confused, annoyed and a little bewildered.

PostHeaderIcon So you want an iPad? Really?

Sure I'm a Mac guy, I have been for years. When the iPhone was introduced, I would have rushed out and bought one immediately except for the fact that Cingular/AT&T wouldn't sell me one because of my corporate cellular account. I was told, at the time, that the iPhone was not ready to be used in a corporate environment because it was incapable of connecting to anything other than Apple.com email.

Frustrated and impatient I waited. Thankfully, I waited long enough to find out that the first generation iPhone was a pretty sad little device. I decided to wait until the iPhone was upgraded, which as it turns out, wasn’t a very long wait.

PostHeaderIcon I don't want to live in Amerika

If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.

The above line is one of my favorite bumper stickers. Although I would never put a bumper sticker on my car, I really like that statement.

It's all fine and good to talk about healthcare reform. It's all fine and good to say you want to help people, but there are a couple of things I think that need to be addressed, before we try to fix the economy.

Let me make perfectly clear to anyone reading this, I don't like what's going on in Washington DC. I'm not playing partisan politics, because I think our "two party" political system is a bullshit scam.

    Point One:

The constitution clearly states that the President will hold only that position, and no other. Unfortunately the Constitutional Law Professor/President who wore to uphold the Constitution of the United States, conveniently missed that part, because he is also now heading the United Nations Security Council as chairman. This is not just illegal, but it is high treason.
