So, those of you that have visited this blog routinely, specifically for car related stuff, there's been a little bit of a drought on car related posts.

Consider this a monsoon.

1. My current daily driver, a 1992 525i Turbo, has had a long time issue of the front wheels not being "round". The Rondell Style 58 wheels were slightly bent when I bought the car, and now one of the belts has broken in one of the falken tires. There is still plenty of tread, but there is a visible deformity in the tread. If you know anything about an E34, they really dislike any kind of imbalance in the front suspension. So, I have the ever dreaded 50-60 MPH death shake in the front-end.

It's not pretty, and it makes driving the car annoying. But there is at least a solution on the horizon. I recently learned that a large local Car dealership, has a Mobile wheel repair specialist visit their location every Wednesday. So, for about $150 per wheel, I can have the wheels completely repaired. I can order new tires, and when done, there will be no death shake.

2. I have managed to sell the four BMW E12 530i cars. Sell, may be the wrong word. I am trading the four old BMWs for a 1994 Jaguar XJ6. The Jaguar is not perfect, but it is, for me at any rate, a better option. I'm not a big Jaguar fan, but it is a step up, and I won't require a garage to work on it.

I traded four cars like the one above, for the Jag below.

3. I have also worked out a deal in which I will acquire a 1997 Mercedes E320. It's a convoluted transaction, however, once another deal is completed (where I buy my mother a Subaru Outback), I will be inheriting her low-mile E320. It's a good car, and for the money, I can't pass the deal up.

4. And finally, after 6 years of sporatic work, I have managed to repair my wife's 1996 Lexus SC300 coupe. The last two remaining concerns are to repair the exhaust issue to quiet the car, and to replace the idler pully which will further quiet the car. This Lexus was a Katrina flood car, and it's going to be an excellent car.

So, there is your automotive monsoon blog entry.
